THE DOBERMANN CLUB - CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW - 27TH MAY 2006
KENNEL CLUB CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE - BITCHES
JUDGE: KEN HOOD

Firstly may I thank the Dobermann Club for inviting me to judge at their Championship show. Also for the friendly hospitality on the day. I really enjoyed the day. I found a considerable variation once again in size and weight, and movement has not improved. However, I was extremely pleased with my main placings.

KENNEL CLUB CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE - DOGS
JUDGE: TRACY FEENEY

The Dobermann Club held a Championship Show at their own showground at Digswell on the 27th May 2006. The committee have invested in a super marquee that was put to good use due to the horrendous rain on the day. My thanks go to the sporting exhibitors who had to show in pretty bleak conditions and whose dogs behaved impeccably in the limited space especially in the large limit and open classes.

Veteran Dog (3,1)
1st Matthews Ch Othertons Country Gent, sprightly eight and a half year old brown boy, standard size, in super condition, good head with dark eyes & small high set ears, good front, short strong topline, very balanced, moved well.
2nd Glennons Veederhall Voyager, nine and a half years young, bl/rust, super front, lovely shape, a strong boy who moved soundly, both a credit to their caring owners.

Minor Puppy Dog (10)
1st Evans & Byrne's Amazon Coldplay, eight and a half month old bl/rust , solid dog, almost the finished article, very smart, long head, well filled under his dark eyes, strong topline, good front with plenty of depth, well angulated fore & aft, loads of bone, super attitude, moved soundly and steadily for such a youngster, BPIS in agreement with my co-judge.
2nd Horgan & Kershaw's Aritaur Nominator, a very raw youngster who has everything in the right place, unfortunate to meet one in such good form, lovely flawless outline, needs to drop in brisket, just needs time.
3rd Santoriello's Noiratan's the Untouchable

Puppy Dog (6,2)
1st Bevan's Estridge No Thai Guy at Khaneve, standard sized bl/rust boy, super bone, strong head, with dark eyes, good front, well ribbed, short strong backline, correct tailset, balanced angulation, moved steadily. 2nd Coat's Animus Dino Roc for Miosigno, taller dog, liked his head, long, well filled under his eyes, with correct head plains, didn't have the depth of my winner & acted up on the move today, both dog & handler needing some practice! 3rd Lewis' Marcavie Girl Crazy

Junior Dog (8,4)
1st Atkinson's Supeta's Wicked Wizard at Sonakint, a real livewire! Kept his handler on his toes, crisp outline, darkest of rust markings, well defined, strong dog, short ultra strong topline & tailset, super bone, balanced angulation, good front, well let down strong rear quarters, moved well, loved his attitude.
2nd Akinbiyi's Nicholas Lantan at Tabontabon, similar shape to one, another strong male, solid topline, preferred the rear angulation and attitude of my winner today
3rd Horgan & Bullocks Aritaur Kalibre

Yearling Dog (6,1)
1st Graham's Purroma Easy Lover at Sharhyste, br/rust, short coupled male, parallel head plains, with well developed forechest with good depth, well sprung rib, short strong topline, good width of second thigh, short strong hocks, moved well.
2nd Lovarini's Mezarini Desperate Dan, another balanced youngster, with a smart outline, solid topline with good tailset, not the finish of one today.
3rd Walter's Lodgehouse Brave Spirit

Novice Dog (30
1st Graham's P Easy Lover ay Sharhyste
2nd Evans & Byrne's Amazon Coldplay
3rd Lewis' Marcavie Girl Crazy

Undergraduate Dog (3,1)
1st Keeler's Tuwin Reddy To Rumble, elegant young male, very balanced, crisp outline, lovely neck flowing into well layed back shoulders, short strong slightly sloping topline, correct tailset, balanced angulation, not overdone in any way, moved very well.
2nd Road Sweeper Trigger, stronger type, strong topline, lovely round bone, balanced angulation, was a bit lethargic today.

Post Graduate Dog (9,5)
1st Davie & Reid's Knecht Falco at Elfamedobes, a very handsome young male, super crisp outline, strong head, with that arrogant expression, long neck flowing into correctly laid back shoulders, short strong topline with good tailset, short coupled, has plenty of depth, balanced angulation, good rearquarters, with correct width to his second thigh and short strong hocks, well let down, moved well to take the RCC in excellent company, well done.
2nd Pittendrigh's Almeira Shadrak at Tomar, br/rust, another with a smart outline, strong topline, super front with plenty of depth, well angulated rear, a live wire! Moved well.
3rd Saunder's Showadows Lehvak-Kal

Limit Dog (18,3)
1st Brassington's Lodgehouse Mr Bojangles, lovely young bl/rust male, smart outline, strong short topline, slightly rounded croup with correct tailset, balanced angulation fore & aft, well boned, moved very steadily felt he lacked animation in the challenge but I'm sure he will have his day.
2nd Evans & Romes Amazon Black Sabbath at Purroma, different type to my winner, sporting a hair cut today, strong head, strong topline with correct tailset, balanced angulation, plenty of depth, moved well.
3rd Gardner's Estridge Kanoute

Open Dog (18,6) I know its an old cliché but this was a strong open class and good dogs did go home cardless, I was very pleased with my final cut and difficult decisions had to be made.

1st Jones & Tilley's Korifey iz Zoosfery, bl/rust, in his prime, masculine, arrogant with that air of aloofness that says 'dobermann', strong round bone, superb length to his head, well filled under his dark almond shaped eyes, good neck flowing into his well placed shoulder, short strong slightly sloping backline, super forechest with the required depth, well ribbed, short coupled, strong rear quarters, with short strong hocks, he moved with front extension & rear drive, covering the ground so well, was pleased to award him the CC and RBIS in agreement with my co-judge
2nd Hull & Matson's Am Ch Gaindyke Yolo, another very handsome male, br/rust, masculine but elegant, cracking outline, excellent bone felt the weather affected his performance today.
3rd Taggart's Supeta's Enuf's Enuf for Cooley, completed a trio of excellent males.
