THE DOBERMANN CLUB
Open Show 21 September 2008

General comments: too many light tans and not enough small ears set high on the head; feet so much better/tighter than a few years ago. Dogs presented clean and fit but the baiting has got to the state where some are blowing bubbles! No bad temperaments.

Dogs

Veteran: (5)
1 Tapply's Ch HELDENBURG HAAGEN Good solid Dobermann with excellent outline and nice tight feet. Moved very positively and with energy. While the tan could be darker I liked him well enough to make him Best Dog.
2 Bostock's REMESCA BEST KEPT SECRET AT MAVSON This 10 year old moved with more energy and purpose than several younger dogs in later classes. He also still retains a good square outline and reach of neck. He ran the winner close.
3 Spindley's MARCAVIE THE GAMBLER

Minor Puppy: (4) (1 absent)
1 Wall's JARJARJINX DIAMOND GEEZER This young brown puppy moved well, has a promising make and shape, nice wedge shaped head and good reach of neck.
2 Kirk LIEBWACHE JESSE JAMES Another nice young puppy and similar remarks apply but he was a little longer/less square than the winner.
3 Lewis's JOJAVIK BUGSY MALONE

1 Lewis's JOJAVIK BUGSY MALONE Good tight feet on this puppy and moved okay. Nice head with correct planes, however I felt he was a little too heavy in build.
